The Line | now renting
The Line is an elegant, slender building with high windows, a golden complexion and a distinctly light appearance. And you could be living there as early as this summer! There are 72 free-sector, two-, three-, of four-room rental apartments to choose from, with living areas ranging from approximately 60 to 129m2. And every apartment boasts its own gorgeous veranda. The Line is now open for rental!
While registration has closed and the estate agents are in the process of allocating the various apartments, you can still register to get on the reserve list!
High-end architecture
The Line was designed by Orange Architects. This unique structure distinguishes itself through a slim facade grid comprising thin balcony edges and no fewer than 880 vertical concrete columns lined around the building, inspiring the name of the project, incidentally. It’s what you might call an omnidirectional building. It doesn’t really have a front or a back and it’s equally appealing on all sides. The golden-hued aluminium cladding on the outer facade gives the building a sunny disposition, even on days when the sun isn’t shining. But when the sun does shine, it lights up the building beautifully. The exterior frames and sliding doors are also fabricated from aluminium, adorned with that gold-coloured coating, all of which contribute to an irresistibly chic facade.
Light verandas
Every apartment in The Line has a veranda with a glass balustrade. These glass balustrades run around the complete building, offering generous views. The outdoor spaces are inspired by cruise ships. The balconies run all the way around the structure and are occasionally set back into the facade. On the top three floors, there are large round holes in the concrete verandas, providing extra light for the floors below.
Stylish entrance and courtyard garden
The Line is in a stunning location, next to a delightfully landscaped courtyard and very close to the Schegpark. The building can be divided into three cores, each of which has its own entrance to the Hammarbystraat. The entrance halls have natural stone floors, wooden panelling and oak slats. The oak exudes a warm feeling that adds to the stylishness of the entrance.
The entrance lobbies on the ground floor open onto a green courtyard, which serves as a communal garden for residents of The Line and The Wave complexes. The vegetation in the courtyard is very diverse, with Scots pine trees and embellished with gravel and natural stone. It’s a wonderful place to spend a little time, either by yourself, with visitors, or perhaps with one or more of your new neighbours.
Ultimate mix of apartments
In The Line you can choose from two-, three- and four-room apartments, with a veranda facing southeast or northwest. In the corner apartments, the veranda continues narrowly along the side of the building. Living areas in the apartments range from approximately 60 to 129m2.
On the ground floor the apartments are configured with high ceilings, allowing for the optimum influx of daylight. All apartments in The Line have sliding doors to the verandas, ensuring a smooth transition from inside to out. The larger apartments at the top of the building enjoy the luxury of having two verandas, one on the southeast and the other on the northwest. This will allow you to benefit from outside access at all times of the day.
You’ll be surprised too by the variety of what is on offer. An apartment with an extra bedroom, an apartment with a utility room or an apartment with a generous bathroom that also includes a bath? The choice is yours.
How do I register?
After checking out via the apartment finder which apartment enjoys your preference, you can start the online registration process. In addition to providing your name and address details, you’ll need to indicate which apartments you prefer and upload a number of documents. When all documents are complete, the estate agent can allocate an apartment to you.
After clicking on an apartment in the apartment finder, clicking the “I want this home” option will open the applicable online registration form. You can also simply click the button here on the right.

Luxurious and complete
Rental apartments in The Line are very complete and luxuriously finished. The beautiful Bruynzeel kitchen is white with a black composite worktop. It is equipped with a dishwasher, combination microwave, fridge, induction hob and extractor hood from Siemens and Bosch. The sanitary fittings and tiling are also of a high quality. All bathrooms have a walk-in shower and sink. Moreover, in addition to having a shower and sink, some bathrooms also have a bath and/or toilet, which can be seen in the floorplans. All apartments have PVC floors in light oak, which means you can move in at very short notice! A beautiful, built-in lamp is standard on every veranda, so you can also enjoy the outdoor life during the evenings.
Storage and parking
A parking garage for The Line and The Wave complexes is located beneath The Line. A limited number of parking spaces can be rented here for €150 a month. Every apartment in The Line has an external storage unit and these are also located beneath the building. Really handy for storing your Christmas paraphernalia, photo albums, and lots more besides.
